Shabaki is a dialect of the Indo-Iranian language Gorani〔(Ethnologue about Shabaki )〕 spoken by the Shabak people〔Abd al-Jabbar, Falih. As Shabaki belongs the Zaza–Gorani group it is most similar to languages such as Gorani (Hewrami) dialects and Zazaki. Because Zaza–Gorani belongs to the Northwestern Iranian branch, it also has similarities to Kurdish languages:
